Pierre Le Caër was born in 1947 in Brest. After an exceptional career in top-level judo, Japan, United States, he began sculpting in Paris in 1995. His assemblages of metal, wood and Breton stone are unique pieces, charged with primitive force and rare sensitivity.
Each work is born of an encounter: a stone gathered on a Breton path, a piece of salvaged metal, a fragment of driftwood. Assembled with artisanal precision and deep intuition, these elements form sculptures that speak of nature, of humanity and of Brittany.

Lemaire Sicre

Gabriel Lemaire Sicre spent some twenty years in computing before devoting his life to colour. Since 2013, in a former leather factory in Graulhet, in the Tarn, he has been building Le Paradis des Machines, the Paradise of Machines: scrapped industrial machines, dismantled, cleaned, painted, and returned to a second life in which they no longer serve, they signify.
Graulhet was once one of the world capitals of leather. Out of its decline came the artist’s material: presses, glazing machines, staking machines and engines left behind on the derelict sites. One hundred and sixty-three works make up the collection today, a pantheon of machines turned into gods, animals, dancers and titans.
