What we are, in one sentence
ARTDELION is an artist agency, not a gallery. We have no permanent exhibition space and we rent no wall. We represent a very small number of artists, we document their work piece by piece, we publish it, and we accompany buyers through to the installation of the work. The practical difference between the two trades is set out in artist agency or art gallery.
What we do for a represented artist
- We document every work: dimensions, materials, date, series, a written note.
- We photograph it properly, from several angles, with a readable sense of scale.
- We publish it in an online catalogue built to be found by search engines, in French and in English.
- We answer buyers’ questions, including the awkward ones about price, conservation and resale.
- We arrange the packing, the insured transport and the tracking through to delivery.
- We issue the invoice, the certificate where one applies, and we keep track of who owns what.

What it costs
Nothing up front. No application fee, no photography fee, no subscription, no contribution to publishing costs. We are paid only through a commission on the sales we make. If we do not sell, we earn nothing. Market rates, and what the commission actually pays for, are set out in what an artist’s agent charges.
If you are ever asked to pay to be exhibited or represented, however it is worded, be careful. It is the first of the warning signs listed in the artist representation contract.
What we are looking for
We take on deliberately few artists, because real support takes time and we would rather do little and do it well. We are not looking for a particular style. We are looking for coherent work, enough output to build a catalogue, and an artist willing to answer our questions about the pieces, because that is where the notes that sell come from.

How to apply
Write to us from the contact page, choosing “Artist”. So that we can answer usefully, tell us in your message:
- where you work and for how long,
- your materials and your formats,
- how many pieces are available today,
- a link to images of your work, however plain, phone photographs included,
- whether you are already represented elsewhere, and in what form.
We read everything and we answer, including when the answer is no. Allow one to two weeks. If the work moves us, we ask to see the studio before making any proposal, because one does not represent a file, one represents a person and a place of work.
